Weather’d T Ranch is owned and operated by Gary and Cindy Truitt. Our Colorado alpaca ranch was established in 1999 and consists of 110 acres of native grass land. We are located 60 miles southeast of Denver in the high plains of Colorado.
The alpaca ranch was started with a dream to have a simpler way of life and to raise an animal that was enjoyable to work with each day and also one that would provide an income. The first time we saw these beautiful, magnificent animals running in a pasture we knew our dream was about to unfold.
Our Colorado ranch is a family business. When we began in 1999 our son Wade, daughter-in-law Marianne and granddaughter Alex worked with us launching the alpaca ranch. Since then, Wade and Marianne have pursued their interest in the alpaca fiber. To help with the care and maintenance of the alpacas we employ 1-3 full-time people from our local area.
We raise both
Suri
and
Huacaya Alpacas for breeding stock and fiber. Our foundation herd is diversified with bloodlines from Peru, Chile, Bolivia and North America. We take special care in the health of our alpacas and have worked with nutritionist and our veterinarian to provide the best feed to insure healthy animals.
The alpaca fiber is an important element
of our business. We realize promoting
alpaca fiber on a small or large scale
is vitally important to the alpaca
industry. Each year the “clip” is either
sold “raw” or processed into yarn which
is then woven into priceless products by
Wade and Marianne,

The alpaca customer (you) is another important element of our business. We have built our business the last eleven years on unsurpassed customer service. We are dedicated to you and your endeavor to have alpacas as a part of your life and family. We offer our years of knowledge to you with the desire that you may be successful in your alpaca dream.
